The sun would have just barely appeared over the horizon, dawn making itself known to the world. The feline curled into her patch of moss seemed to beam with the small rays of sunlight peaking through the branches above her nest, a spark of wildfire that gave her position away to any who might have forgotten she'd be sleeping there. Twitching softly, ears flicking, whiskers quivering, muscles flexing.
The she-cat's molten Amber eyes opened slowly, shining with the cast-off lights of the morning sun. A long tail swaying away, the rest of her body following and easing into a long stretch. Joints would pop quietly, straining from remaining in the same position for hours at a time.

Soft footfall would sound, the brush of foliage, as the ember Marble feline slid from her humble sleeping place. Leaving prints in the dust as she moved. As if she were some kind of fire spirit, elegant, quiet, but at every level, as devilish and dangerous as the rushing rapids of a river.
A long tail draping behind the ember feline, dusting the ground oh so softly behind her as she made her way to the kill pile, nodding in greeting to the elders who'd been up minutes before her. Being sure they'd fed themselves or gotten something to at least nibble on.
"Stormflame... Darling good morning." The voice came to her right and the addressed cat cringed. Tail giving away her obvious disliking.

"Mother." Was the only response the elderly cat received from her daughter. Stormflame cast a defying, irritated gaze at the old long haired Molly. Rumbling softly and stalking along, stopping only to listen to her mother's pathetic pout.
"Why so cold? Stormflame is that any way to treat the elderly? Much less your own sweet mother?"
Stormflame could hear it in her voice, the annoying, teasing, and smug tones in her voice. Stormflame composed herself, smirking softly. "Oh. I'm sorry mother. I'm just in a bit of a hurry. I'd rather not spend my time with an old coot such as yourself. I'm only being honest... Dear."
Leaving the astonished elder behind her, the tall feline finally excused herself to get the food her mouth watered over. Seems the earlier patrols brought a good haul.
