Dawnpaw's Bio Family
Dawnpaw was given up for adoption after her parents realised she was blind, but they had two other healthy kits in that litter. Plot-wise they're mostly open but there's potential for some juicy family drama as I'm guessing their parents wouldn't want their kits to interact or acknowledge Dawnpaw as their littermate.
The Mother
Name: Morning-
Age: 32 moons
Appearance: Long furred tortie she-cat with green eyes. She is very beautiful and resembles Dawnpaw a lot (without the half-face markings).
Personality: Narcissistic, proud, self-serving, anything else is up to the adopter.
Relationships:
Her mate: She used to have a good relationship with him, they love each other (whether or not they're in love with each other is up to the adopters) but after they discovered that their union had produced a blind kit, it put a strain on their relationship with neither willing to admit that it was their fault that their daughter was damaged and both cats blaming the other. It is up to the adopters whether they mend their relationship (or even want to) or if they choose to go their separate ways and try again with new mates.
Duskpaw: She has always been a bit of an overbearing mother to her son, she smothers him in motherly affection and it's a wonder he has any room to breathe. She's overprotective of him despite the fact that he is no longer a kitten. He can practically do no wrong- and starclan forbid anyone do anything to harm her perfect baby boy.
Eveningpaw: She treats her daughter very differently to her son, she has very high expectations of her almost as if the fact that one of her daughters being a failure means she wants her "remaining" daughter to be astonishing. She must be the best: the best groomed, the best warrior, she must take the best mate- everything she does comes under criticism from her mother.
Dawnpaw: Her daughter that was never meant to be born. She has about as much respect for this kit as she does for a kittypet. Although possessing her beauty, the blindness completely ruins her and anything she had going for her. Morning- can barely bring herself to look upon Dawnpaw as she sees her as a failure on her part. She definitely doesn't allow Duskpaw and Eveningpaw to interact with their sister, she won't even allow them to acknowledge she's their sister. If they bring it up she'll change the subject or demand that they never bring that "mistake" up again.
History: She and her mate grew up together and were friends, they eventually decide to become mates because they know they'd make pretty/strong kits (mostly up to adopter, just make it match up with everything else)
The Father
Name: Cedar-, Hawk-, Tiger- (Something strong)
Age: 30-33 moons
Appearance: Large, muscular silver tabby tom-cat with green eyes and a long tail.
Personality: Proud, self-absorbed, strict, anything else is up to the adopter
Relationships:
Morning-: He used to have a good relationship with her, they love each other (whether or not they're in love with each other is up to the adopters) but after they discovered that their union had produced a blind kit, it put a strain on their relationship with neither willing to admit that it was their fault that their daughter was damaged and both cats blaming the other. It is up to the adopters whether they mend their relationship (or even want to) or if they choose to go their separate ways and try again with new mates
Duskpaw and Eveningpaw: He treats both his kits equally but that treatment isn't necessarily good. He acts less like a father towards them and more as a leader... His word is law where his kits are concerned and they know better than to argue with him. He doesn't think it's wise to praise the kits for every little thing they do (and looks scornfully upon his mate whenever he catches her smothering Duskpaw) but to praise them when they do something worthwhile and as neither of them have succeeded in doing anything notable yet, he doesn't waste a ton of time with them unless it's to give either of them some one-on-one tutelage.
Dawnpaw: He cares less about this kit than his mate does. If his kits are barely worth his time at the moment then Dawnpaw is worth less than that. He doesn't acknowledge her existence, he'll deny any knowledge of ever fathering her (in case it tarnishes his reputation) and if he catches his kits talking about or starclan forbid TO her, then he'll rain hell down upon their heads. His family have a reputation to uphold and it will NOT be tarnished by fraternisation with that thing.
History: He and his mate grew up together and were friends, they eventually decide to become mates because they know they'd make pretty kits (mostly up to adopter, just make it match up with everything else)
The Brother
Name: Duskpaw
Age: 6 moons
Appearance can be: Brown tabby, red tabby, silver tabby or red silver tabby
Personality: He can resemble his parents in some way in personality or be more accepting, it's up to the adopter
Relationships:
His mother: It's up to the adopter if he enjoys his mother's constant attention/smothering or if he resents her for it.
His father: It's up to the adopter if he respects his father and wants to live up to his expectations or is fearful of him and the power he seems to radiate.
Eveningpaw: It's up to the adopter what his relationship with this sister is, although I like to imagine he wants to be close with her (whether that's what she wants is a different story)
Dawnpaw: It's up to the adopter whether he shuns his youngest sister like his parents do and thinks her less worthy than a piece of dirt or if he wishes to have a relationship with her in some way.
History: Must fit in with everything else but apart from that open
The Sister (runningbrook)
Name: Eveningpaw
Age: 6 moons
Appearance can be: Smoke tortie, silver torbie, tortie, brown tabby or silver tabby
Personality: I want her to be more accepting than her parents, but otherwise up to the adopter.
Relationships:
Her mother: It's up to the adopter whether she resents her mother for how she obviously favours Duskpaw and how she treats her almost cruelly in comparison. OR alternatively, she could want to prove to her mother that she can be the daughter she desires and aspire to make her mother proud.
Her father: It's up to the adopter whether she respects her father like he wants her to or fears him and the power he apparently possesses. Alternatively she could be rebellious due to the combined treatment she receives from both of her parents.
Duskpaw: It's up to the adopter whether she wants/has a good relationship with her brother or resents him because he is obviously their mother's favourite.
Dawnpaw: It's up to the adopter whether she wants to have any kind of relationship with her sister. Does she respect her parents wishes and stay away from the blind cat? Or does she actively rebel and attempt to interact with her littermate anyway.
History: Must match everything else but otherwise open
