Morninglight's Testing (Open)

"It's okay, you three are doing so well," Morninglight purred as she gently guided her kits out of the nursery. It was their first time outside and she could already see the stares they were getting. She knew it looked strange. She was covered in grotesque scars, her left ears and eye gone and there were patches of raw scar tissue not able to be covered in fur. She scared the kits in the nursery so she had herself and her own kits isolated. 

Then there were her kits. The kits of a traitor. Their father had killed a former Clanmate and was responsible for the way she looked now. The Clan harbored ill will towards her three kits. She nudged them towards an isolated spot in camp, trying to get them away from the hateful looks. Patchkit was already playing with the remaining half of her tail while Goldenkit and Lilac kit were pressed against her, shivering from excitement and fear. "It's okay darlings. Why don't you play with your brother?" she said to the young kits. 

[Aria]

Swiftshadow Swiftshadow was hole as can be since his mate died by his father hands there  were almost nothing left for him in Sootclan. He got a sister, a mother, and....what a else. I don't a fly mouse about them right now. They couldn't save Sun-, he couldn't save Sun- and the ate him everything single day. The brown tabby kept to himself most of time. Not wanting to deal with small talk or drama. He had a few things to protect and they weren't on of them. I need to get rid of this headache. With a grunt, the warrior flopped in corner of camp and closed his eyes. A nap with a Sunbathing  just the thing to calm his nerves. However the sweet silence was interrupted  by the sound of kits. Kits. He never got have any. Thanks Starclan they didn't because they wouldn't have to suffer like his. It was that Morninglight who got scar up by her mate and to deal with being the outcast. Something few in this clan had in common with him. The kits didn't need to suffer- to suffer like him. Too turn out like him. The thought gave him just right amount of nerve to give his spot and walked over to the queen and her family. I hate this so much. "Hey." He mewed  kinda softly, "Your Morninglight, right?  The name's Swiftshadow and before you jump out of your pelt I mean no harm to you or your family." He would be the last cat to attack a queen.  A warrior not so much but queens always had a soft spot in his head.  Tag: PikaJoker, Notes: Here we go.

Morninglight flinched as she heard the voice of another cat but she let her fur lie flat when she saw it was only Swiftshadow. "Swiftshadow…" she said. She knew that the tom would be grieving about his late mate. She knew grief very well, not for her own mate but the cat that was murdered by him. She also knew he wouldn't harm her kits, and if he did, she would teach him that even with her injuries, she still was a proper warrior.

Her kits however hid behind her, looking at the dark tabby tom with big wide eyes. She chuckled. They weren't used to another cat and well, it seem silly that they were afraid of others when their own mother looked like she came out of a nightmare. "It's okay. He won't hurt you." She nosed her bravest kit, Patchkit who crept towards the warrior, low on his belly. She focused her attention on Swiftshadow.

"Did you need something from me?" she asked. "Or are you here to see the kits?" Her voice was soft and sweet.

Aria,

Swiftshadow Swiftshadow's ears twitched at the sight of the kits hiding behind there mother. It was like a whole another when your young and need you parents to turn for comfort. He never had such... a luxury. He played winked at Patchkit, she was very brave for being so young. When did kits bring such a side to him? Why was he over her again, oh right? The brown tabby cleared his throat. "I just heard all the chatter and decided to shove my nose, where I shouldn't."  He replied calmly looked the queen in eyes."I just want to check on the kits and a queen is all."  He would never say that he wanted to talk alone. As Swiftshadow wasn't the most well like tom in Sootclan and this kits dealing with problem of there own. Swiftshadow wanted to see if he could help in some way. "Well- actually If wouldn't mind for a moment could I, speak with you in private for just a moment." Taking a queen away from her kits is playing with fire but it might be something to help them both out. Ripplesun always told him  one day you'll find someone else in need who has it worse than you and asked would what he do? The warrior didn't have answer but them. Morninglight paused for a second, becoming nervous as she looked over at down at her kits with her one good eye. She couldn't leave them by themselves, they were too small and she doubt anyone would watch them. But she also didn't want to be rude. "Y-You can say whatever you need here," she said. "I just need to watch these three and I don't want to leave them alone," she said, trying to explain herself, her tone apologetic.

Patchkit had gotten a bit braver and was wobbling to explore of the camp, beckoning his littermates to follow. They did, but they only went a couple of inches away.

Aria,

Swiftshadow Swifthshadow couldn't under fearfulness of the queen. For many you are afraid to lose whatever most. You would do anything to protect them even risk death but something it's never go enough and they die leaving you alone. "I heard about what happening at the nursery and want to say that isolation is not the best thing need for growing kits." Yes, he was being rather blunt about but the growing up clinging to there mother would have negative effects when they are older. "I get you want to keep them safe as can be but keep from someone who be isolated almost there own life. It very unhealthy." He criticism was bittersweet but need to be say."For the reason, I am willing to offer up mu services as bodyguard for you and your kits." It was dead serious on it. " I'm not Mr. sunshine  but a lot of cats are wary to pick a battle with me. So,me, giving protection could go along away. I assure  i'm nothing like their father. My father was traitor and made my life a-nightmare. I don't want these kits to end up like I did."  Tag: PikaJoker, Notes:

Morninglight winced when Swiftshadow started lecturing her. She knew that kits being isolated wasn't a good thing and she didn't try to do that, especially with her own past. She stared at the ground. "I-I understand," she said softly. There was no argument from her. She just worried especially since one of the other queens had slapped Patchkit for accidentally crawling into her nest. She couldn't help but be overprotective.

"Oh no, I couldn't take you away from your duties," she said, eye widening. "I mean, there are so many others that need protection and I might not be the best warrior, but I can protect my kits." Despite being offended, her voice was still soft. But there was an unwavering spirit in her eye.

Swiftshadow This going to take a while. What the first thought that came as heard Morninglight reply. What duties did have to the clan? He was loyal and always worked on the border patrols but  seeing a kit struggle like this made him feel...sick. "Do you?" the warrior said cocked an eyebrow, "Do you really? Then why refused the help?" Swiftshadow could be quite the stubborn jerk if wanted to be but now he trying to right at least for someone who was having it harder than him."I never said you couldn't protect them but I want to help and no is not an answer I'm willing to accept." He wasn't going to take this one lying down like this. Swiftshadow was large dependable tom-cat. Why couldn't help? "I can't of anyone more deserve so stop being so modest and accepted." The petite tortoiseshell couldn't help but be intimidated by the larger cat. He reminded her of her former mate and it made her fur bristle. "U-uh, okay..." She stared down at her paws, trying not to let her unease show. "Thank you for this opportunity. I hope we don't become a burden."

The queen noticed one of her kits(Patchkit, of course) going near the elder's den. She became alert when she heard a hiss and stumbled over to grab her kit, guiding them back to the area they were in. "Don't bother them darling," she said, licking the top of their head. Lilackit and Goldenkit followed and they seemed wary of Swiftshadow. Goldenkit paws at the tabby tom's tail.

[Aria]

Swiftshadow Swiftshadow nodded lied down to comfortable. He a lot of work head of him. Sometime being a little forceful is how to get this done. If  but she was this kind then no worried  this happened in the first. Overly sweet cats will be the downfall of the clan. "I bear many burden this is one of them." He said looked down at  Goldenkit then just close his eyes twitching he tail gently in the kits direction. This was going to take a while to  and he a lot of snap at cats head but maybe he could learn to enjoy.  Tag: PikaJoker, Notes: I think this is go stopping point.
