Medusa's tail swayed from side to side like a wavering snake as she looked up and down the fence in her way. At least I can get a vantage point. She bunched up her muscles and leapt up the side of the fence, claws digging into the wood until she got to the top. The silver molly balanced on the edge, teetering a bit before managing to stand still. Her eyes, narrowed against the sun, looked around at the surrounding places. She was searching for both prey and possible new additions to her group. They were strong, but she would need more in order to succeed in her quest. Then, as she turned her head to one side, she caught the strong smell of something leaking up to her on her perch. Curiosity piqued, she followed it along the top of the fence until it tempted her to jump off, so she did. She followed it through a dark hedge that had hidden her view of what was behind it, and stopped stark with eyes wide at the sight. It was a den-like thing that the twolegs built, but smaller. And the sides were peculiar, made out of all that strange un-meltable ice that you could see though. Though this ice was fogged up or old so you could only see the outlines of things through it. Dark green things that looked like... plants? The scent had pooled here, and now that she thought about it, it smelled slightly off. Like if she breathed it for too long, she would be sick. But she didn't feel sick yet, and she was still curious, so she made her way closer to the den. Forget what mother told me about twolegs. I can get in and out fast, before one finds me. There was a little gap missing in the side that had been covered by material, but it was clearly her way in. Upon getting inside the den, she immediately noticed the temperature rise and the moisture in the air rise as well. It was hot and wet, the perfect climate for plants, or so it seemed. The scent was also stronger here. The spotted cat took a few tentative steps closer to one of the plants, sniffing it cautiously. She had the feeling that these were something like the herbs her mother told her the clan cats had, but she didn't think they would heal. Maybe... maybe the opposite.
