The velvety lush of his pelt became more prominent in the moonlights caress as they proceeded to venture closer and closer to the remnant of Fireclan's fragrance,warning the trespassers every step of the way with their undoubtable scent.
A few minutes later..
With the grateful cast of the full moon,Alistair was able to easily maneuver his way closer and closer to the stable that hosted the variety of brutes."Be on guard,the dogs usually wander closer to the homestead at this time of night due to dinners call,but its best not to count on it,"The calculating tom cautioned before proceeding forward,his muscles tense and rigid with tactful planning.
Slithering his stature quietly into the barn,the vixen-like felidae awaited for his companions presence to follow."The coop is this way,"Alistair instructed with a timid gesture of his paw before taking the lead. Within a few minutes,the pair stumbled upon the outcroppings of wood the rats chewed through,successfully fabricating a gateway to the succulent meat that awaited them.

Snake slinked gently behind his newfound friend as they made it closer to the barn. "Dogs?!" Snake asked in a hushed but nervous tone. "You never told me about dogs!" He briefly stopped, pivoting his head in all directions just to make sure there were no nearby dogs. He didn't hear any, but he could never be sure now. Upon finishing his scan for dogs, he realized the strange cat had walked further, so Snake quietly caught back up with him.
"You know, I don't think I ever got your name." Snake whispered. "Unless you told it to me before and I just wasn't paying attention...." He tried to remember, but was too caught up in the promise of an actual meal as opposed to carrion. "Oh, as for me, call me Snake."

"Oh don't sweat it, they may be big but that doesn't mean their fast,nor smart on their part,"
Alistair stated reassuringly as he submitted his muscular stature throughout the skinny hole,his gaze taking a luminous harmony at the sight of the stout shack.

"You know, I don't think I ever got your name."

"My apologies,my mind has been somewhere else as of late,I go by the name of Alistair,"The words swayed with ease from his tongue,his amber gaze,once lingering on the prosperous shack now facing the obsidian hued tom."Pleasure to meet you,Snake.Now I'm sure this is the part you've been looking forward to,so go ahead and take what you please,"The mysterious red tom insisted,his lavish tail whisking in lithe manner to further represent his exhort to uphold his part.

Alistair watched from his post as Snake whisked away in the coop,his gaze hardening as his attention altered to the reserve of territory that stretched within a mile from their position.Camp.Where he was fully aware of the contentions brewing between the leaders,and the passion of potential accelerating more and more within the tom.The turmoil that burned with friction and vengeance beneath his composed state becoming more approving as the reaching desire for power and control collapsing those of standard morals.

As Snake entered the coop, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped just very slightly like a kit born in leafbare seeing the sun for the first time. So this was where humans hunted their prey. He wondered why cats from the nearby clans hadn't picked this place clean. Perhaps they hunted here occasionally, Snake wouldn't know.

It took a while for the hens to notice the black cat because he blended in well with the shadows, but once they did, they began to cluck fearfully among each other. Not wanting to spend too much time in there and risk waking the nearby twolegs, Snake quickly grabbed the nearest hen he could find by the neck and dragged it back outside the coop to where Alistair was. As it slowly lost life, its clucking began to quiet down, as did the noise from inside the coop.

"Nice to meet you, Alistair. Want to share this fine bird?" Snake said, motioning his his paw towards the prey. He noticed that Alistair appeared very deep in thought as he gazed towards the FireClan territory. "What are you thinking about?"


(is there a system for how hunting works on this site? I can't find any information on it anywhere, so if I'm doing this horribly wrong please tell me and I'll edit this post accordingly)

Alistair's menacing gaze transformed back into it's mask of melodies as he recognized the soft tread of footsteps approaching behind him.

"Nice to meet you, Alistair. Want to share this fine bird?"

"Thank you for your offer,but I believe you need it and deserve it much more then I Snake,so please go on without me,"His low voice springing politeness and fondness with the black feline,yet also a remnant of absence.His void had been buzzing with possibilities as rumors of the strong and proudful  Fireclan wilting into their vulnerable state,and Alistair acknowledged this to be a chance,his chance,to be exact.
"What are you thinking about?"
"My offer,Snake I am accommodating a plan,the details are not yet settled but I still wish to know if you'd be interested in joining me,I've been hearing rumors that the strong Fireclan is wilting to be no more due to Ravenclan,and colliding leadership,and any cat can see this vulnerability is prosperous for potential," Alistair's voice rose with determination and it's calculating spites,the further he introduced his contribution,the more immense his character shone through.And for once a crooked simper tempted to tug at his maw,"I think you know where I'm going with this,your strong and I can tell the life of the streets has not played you well overtime,"The captivating tom ushered as he proceeded to  gently circle the obsidian felidae,his words offering a mask of sympathy.

"We'll be able to come apart of the Clans again"

The thin black cat had been intensely focused on eating as Alistair had been explaining this, but as soon as he mentioned the potential for new leadership and a collapse of FireClan, Snake's ears perked forward and his eyes swiveled to Alistair. The small bit of hesitation Snake felt about this deal dissipated as soon as he had put two and two together and realized that now he would potentially have an actual place to call his home. Better yet, he could even have some form of power and leverage over others, rather than just being an undesirable, unlovable rogue.

"Sounds like a risky plan." Snake said, licking the chicken bits off his face. "But I'll help you out. It's not like I've got much else going on in my life, and this would give me more of a sense of purpose than rummaging around for scraps ever did." He hadn't really considered the potential consequences of taking a side during such an unstable period for the clan cats, nor had he considered the consequences of following a near-stranger that he had just met, but those were consequences for a future Snake to deal with. But there was one little thing about the cat's plan that bothered him. "You say you don't know the details yet of how you plan on pulling this off, though. How can I be sure that this little mission of ours will actually go somewhere beyond just mere discussion?"

"Life is inherently risky.There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing,especially now.With our opputunities,there must be others that coincide with my passion.."Alistair uttered as his gentle saunter ceased,his lavish tail accommodating swift lashes.

"My talk will not disperse into nothing,nor is it mere thought,i've had plenty of time to do that,now I'm ready for action.Yet it would be utterly foolish to waste it without the fine details of a plan,I have.....ideas but it's the inches of the depths i need to scour,in order to seek for every flaw that may entrance our failure."The entrancing tom meowed,his luminous amber gaze detailing the tom with fortune.Lingering for a second longer,the captivating tom cantered timidly to the exit,halting temporarily,his discs reflecting the blue caress of the moon,anticipation rummaging his viens as he awaited the tom's following

"Well, as long as you know what you're doing, I'd be glad to help," Snake said with a friendly smile. He then trotted over to Alistair, following him to the exit of the barn, taking one last look behind at the chicken coop just to better remember where it was and how to get inside. For future reference, of course. He then looked back at Alistair, still following him, his ears perked attentively. "We should try to find other rogues, loners, or even other FireClan cats to cooperate with us. The more cats we've got on our side, the more power we'll be able to exert over the collapsing FireClan."

Alistair dipped his head in a gesture of agreement,his gaze colonizing with thought."Exactly what I've been doing,yet I don't know exactly about recruiting Fireclan cats,although some may be on the verge,most are loyal till their death,which can be risky.Especially if they inform the leaders of our recruiting.For now we will stay clear of them,unless they come to us,"The vixen-like tom informed his  partner,his muscles riveting with a newly found confidence.His mind pondering foundly on the last conclusion of his sentence.unless they come to us.Alistair was struck with interest as the sentence echoed throughout his chambers of thought,there was a feline he specifically knew would be rummaging in the territory of Fireclan,and it was about time he left a chapter of suspicion for the tom.

Snake looked at the other tom and simply nodded. "I get that. We've got to be strategic and careful with this. We can't just let anyone into our plan, let alone cats with previous loyalties to the clan." The thin black cat now had faith in his friend that he knew what he was doing, and he was excited to see this plan come to fruition. No longer would he have to be the societal reject picking on scraps, perhaps now he could have some sort of position of power and respect like he had wanted.

( Shaylaws, yeah we can end the thread on this note if you want. You can make a new thread when you feel like it, or maybe when you have more recruits. Or if I get any ideas for a thread, I might make one, but also I still have a lot of stuff like artwork to work on, so who knows.)
