Rainpaw tag: Streamsong | notes: Rainpaw sighed quietly, his eyes darting around the territory. Now, he wasn’t fond of birds, in fact one could say he had a distaste for the feathers. They made him sneeze and look ridiculous; in his mind nothing could beat the nice juicy meat of a plump rabbit. Alas, right now the only thing he could spot were birds and he was supposed to be hunting. “Any plans?” he said looking over at the warrior with him, a shy quiet thing that was surely the target of Cinderstar’s followers distaste. Maybe that’s why they’ve gotten paired for this hunting expedition, whatever it’s not like it meant Russetbelly was a poor hunter. “I could go to the right and you can take the left.”

The orange tabby she-cat walked quietly through the forest beside Rainpaw the apprentice that Cinderstar had paired her with. Blinking her amber colored eyes and listening to what he had to say. “Yes, I can take the left.” Scanning the forest with her eyes landing on a robin on the forest floor pecking st the ground. Amber eyes sparkling with interest and flicking her tail slowly behind her quietly signaling Rainpaw to hurry and cut off its escape route she saw ahead. Russetbelly inhaling a calm breath and taking smaller steps closer to the robin and entering into the hunter’s crouch, hesitant paws edging closer and quietly to not spook the bird and the prey in front of them.

Rainpaw tag: Streamsong | notes: Rainpaw nodded and went ahead, his steps as quiet as he could manage. This was easy, relaxing even. The familiar ridges of FireClan’s territory seemed to welcome him with joy, like they’ve missed him, a half-blood of all things being welcomed by the fields. Wouldn’t Cinderstar fume if he ever said that out loud? What would Blazepaw say? He’d probably laugh at his strange occurrences. Alright. He got down in the hunter’s crouch and stalked the bird creeping as close as he could manage. With a small movement of his tail he signaled Russetbelly could pounce at any moment she desired, if the bird decided to run away he’d be able to catch it no problem.

Crouching down lower and stalking closer to the bird with her orange tail lashing behind her quietly. Muscles tending up under her pelt and leaping at the bird as it turned to peck at another seed. Muzzle clamping down on the bird and killing it quickly feeling the hot blood fill into her mouth. Carrying the bird to Rainpaw and dropping it onto the ground. “We can come back for this one and continue hunting....you can kill the next one.” Digging into the dirt and making a little hole to cover the bird in while they continued on there hunting trip. Blinking her amber eyes and looking over to Rainpaw “How’s training going?” Asking the simple question curious and to make small talk while they hunted. The orange tabby she-cat shaking her pelt and then sniffing the air for any more prey around.
