Stripedpaw | 6 moons | FireClan
This was a rather eventful ceremony, to say the least, for a variety of reasons. Cinderstar's attitude had taken him off guard, it seemed rather childish and conceited to him, though... The same could be said for Bluekit. Like mother like daughter, he thought to himself, somewhat amused by the notion. It was upsetting that one of their leaders was acting like a brat, though then again, Froststar seemed more intent on poking the bear than dealing with the situation as a leader should. Had the leaders always been like this? Stripedpaw had expected something more... But that wasn't all that was strange. Meeting Dapplepaw when the fluffy tom was a kit and noting his wonderment and respect when meeting cat of a higher rank, he'd expected to be blind-sided once Dapplepaw had become an apprentice. It looked like the opposite had happened, however, the tom weaving away from the limelight to find, of all cats, him. But why me? Stripedpaw had a feeling that even his brothers wouldn't show him such favouritism, and they didn't.
The ginger tom's attention was averted from the scene in front of him by Dapplepaw's discontented snort, shaking his head at the leaders in response. It was ridiculous, this ceremony was supposed to be about the new apprentices and warriors, not some petty melodrama between Cinderstar and Froststar. Hopefully their apprentices were better than this, and weren't being taught to hate their fellow leaders. Way to divide the Clan... he thought, annoyed that they were willing to cause a drama to push certain cats away from each other. Won't work on me. Well, even if he did have a side, it was pointless for him to say. He had nobody to be driven away from, really. Well... Besides Dapplepaw, now.
Speaking of the new apprentice, his ears swivelled towards the white and ginger tom, head following as he spoke. Stripedpaw wasn't sure how to react to what he'd said, seeing as it was a request he'd never really received, before. "Uh... I guess..?" He eventually responded, glancing towards the only den made of vegetation. If I can... He was barely 'settled', himself, so he wasn't sure how easy it would be to settle someone else in. "...I dunno. I'll try."
