The Pack: Sundapple and Almondbreeze's Social Group [~6]

Demonic and I have created beautiful Fogclan sisters who have had a severe falling out due to drama in their social circle (heavily involving Almondbreeze Aria). We are looking for cats who would have been part of this social group from the start and have been a part of the turmoil!

The Pack Intro:
Two sisters were born to loyal Fogclan warriors. Sunkit grew up confident and strong while her sister Cinderkit followed in her shadows, much more timid and soft-natured. Throughout their development, Sunkit never cared that her sister didn't go off and make her own friends, she let her in on all the fun. This garnered complaints and resentment from Sunkit's friends who despise Cinderkit. Once apprentices, these complaints only increased in frequency and intensity. However, Sunpaw (the natural leader of the group) was so beloved in the Pack that there was no push to chase Cinderpaw out. Not without her permission, of course. Finally as warriors who were watched their entire apprenticeship, her friend's opinions had turned Sundapple's caring feelings into resentment towards her sister. She pushed Almondbreeze and Cinderbrook together (to get both of them out of her fur) and this is what caused the blow-up. Cinderbrook was unable to have kits and her heartbreak broke the mates apart. Now Cinderbrook has been ostracized and the Pack runs strong.

With two the Pack's leaders as captains... their ambition grows.


Social Hierarchy:

"The Pack" name was developed during the social group's apprenticeship. The functioning hierarchy within this social group is not spoken about, rather they are defined by a cat's personality and actions. For example, Sundapple is known as the alpha of the group because she naturally leads and inspires her clanmates, but no one would outwardly say "Sundapple is the alpha of the Pack". In short, you can see the roles as guidelines for how your character would behave/be in the group.

Alpha: AKA "The Big Dog". Usually the one everyone turns to for inspiration, decisions, and advice. The alpha is often the one that leads the group during outings and ensures everyone has their glory. Their personality is often confident, strong-willed, tactical, and charismatic. The Alpha can both raise and lower someone's rank based on how they treat them in front of the others. 

Beta: The shadow of the alpha. They are the eyes and ears of the Big Dog and are often the sounding board of the alpha's plans. When the alpha isn't around the beta is the default leader. Is the most likely to challenge the alpha (directly or indirectly) and rise to be a new alpha. 

Delta: The main body of the group. Loyal "dogs" of the Pack. Cats in this role can either have ambition to increase their reputation, or may just be happy being part of an infamous Fogclan social group. The status they hold offers them benefits in the clan on top of the benefits of two members being Captains. These cats are tough and a force to be reckoned with, especially when all together. 

Omega: The peon of the group. This is because of reputation, a weak personality, and/or lack of accomplishments compared to the others of the group. The Omega role often is picked on and forced to do the grunt work of their friends.

2. The cat's history must make sense with what is stated in Cinderbrook's (Demonic), Sundapple's (Mal), and Almondbreeze's (Aria) histories. 
3. The desire to create a new Fogclanner, or use one of your preexisting ones (that has a history with an unnamed social group that the Pack can be inserted into)

Why is this character a good fit?: She'd be made roughly the same age as Sun and Cinder, and wouldn't like Cinder simply because she is smaller and acts weak. If Cinder stood up for herself and didn't let Sun be her "protector" Sedge might have changed her mind, but a weak-willed cat is not enough for her. She only wants to be associated with the strong. Sedge is the mother of my character Shrewpaw, Aria's character Mousepaw, and two other apprentice-aged kits that don't have applications yet (Otterpaw and Minkpaw). She basically abandoned both Shrew and Mouse because of their small and weak sizes at birth and encouraged her other two stronger children to bully them. Now that Shrewpaw has showed her worth to be more than she expected Sedge is a little bitter, but too stubborn to accept her daughter even if Otterpaw and Minkpaw are trying to. She's still very much unimpressed with Mousepaw. Since Almondbreeze is Shrewpaw's mentor and quite likes her (Sedge probably didn't like that pairing at first xD) perhaps if he wants to he can get Sedge to come around to her daughter, which is an interesting plot point. She has rather odd morals, believing in StarClan (Which FogClan doesn't like) and hating rules (which FogClan very much likes) and is definitely set up to be quite hypocritical. Will definitely judge someone by their appearance or size first and be shocked if a large cat turns out to be weak. She's a clever, fiery, and headstrong molly that speaks her mind and would definitely be Sun's attack dog if needed. Despite this, she wouldn't have spoken out against Cinder or any other group members she dislikes (other than in joke or gossip) because she doesn't want to lose her position in the pack (mostly out of fear; she doesn't know what she would do without them to fall back upon). She wouldn't like the fact that Cinderbrook has brought outsider kits into the clan, even if she doesn't live by the code, she was raised to be wary of outsiders just like the rest of FogClan. She doesn't particularly see the use in manipulating cats like Sun might, she prefers straightforward interactions and having "followers" that don't need to be manipulated to like you. I'm also planning on her having a large scar (most likely across her face so she is missing an eye), which is probably the effect of one of the deeds the pack has done to make them so noteworthy (perhaps the eagle or another predator they fought off- which may contribute to Sedge's suffix). I still need to iron out the workings of how she had the kits and whether the dad is still in the picture, whether she has a mate (perhaps the father and/or mate is someone else in the pack? The father would need a specific appearance though, so I'm not sure) and all that. I think she would fit pretty well into the pack, and if anything about her personality needs to be tweaked or changed it can happen!

Hey owl and thanks for applying!

I was taking some time to think about this app to imagine what Sedge-'s dynamic would look like. I think it would be great to have a cat like her in the Pack. To have one or so members who wouldn't have openly picked on Cinderbrook (but ironically Cinder is LARGE) is just as good. I think it would make Sundapple trust her more than some of the others (because really deep down she doesn't want to lose her sister lmao).

If Sundapple found out about the religious aspect, she would definitely be dubious about her but how that all unfolds would be determined IC. But for now Sun does not really care for Starclan and thinks believing is not only senseless, but it's a way for weak-willed cats to feel like they have a purpose.

I like that they have a connection with ALmondbreeze being Shrewpaw's mentor too because it also continues the whole "your parents social group determines yours" and it's nice that they're all involved haha. DRAMA can be part of the Pack in multiple ways and I LIVE FOR IT.

I also dig the scar coming out of one of their heroic adventures adds to their charm and legend

Sedgescar is definitely an character with a lot of dynamic. Almondbreeze would have see her as very good person pawn but disagree with her beliefs. As Sundapple and Almondbreeze can agree even the weak cats have some use. He would even go as far as too say the weak can become stronger like himself.

He was proud to have Shrewpaw as his apprentice and would have tried to bring them together as family however the whispers of the fights between siblings and leave Mousepaw her own social group.Taken affect on him and his image. He might good to as to say that this why his lost to frostbite for leadership.(and it's no better than what happened with his own brother). Almondbreeze become quite short with her as how now.(You'll see what I mean soon!^^) So anything with Sedgescar and Shrewpaw bonding will have probably wait until later but I really like that idea.  

He will understand probably why Sedgescar keeps her mouth shut about Cinderbrook(as he just tries to avoid that tortoiseshell like plague himself unless he really has to deal with her which it never ends well).

Almondbreeze hates religion and will never change so if Sedgescar is found about we'll have to see how problematic that will be. So long as Sedgescar don't down something super crazy with her hating rules, she wouldn't be under his radar. I smell drama in the work and I love it! OMG the scar idea is amazing as well so go for it!

Mal ,owl ,- Yes I am. So down for Sedgescar being part of the social group if you approve Mal. It will a lot of fun and I can't wait to rp with her.

Mal, Aria (sorry I took a while replying to you guys)
    Sedge isn't super open about her being religious, she doesn't talk about it since she knows almost all the other cats she knows don't believe it. It's mostly for the comfort that when she dies she'll get to see her family again in StarClan. So it's unlikely Sun or Almond would find out unless they directly asked her or got very close with Sedge to the point where she'd trust them with something so personal like this. At this point, only she really knows about it.
    I've changed when she got the scar to when she tried to fight off the bird of prey that took off her sister when they were young apps, but she's come to lie about it and say she got it when the pack fought off the eagle, I'm not sure whether Sun or Almond or another cat in the group would call her out on that lie (I'm sure she has other scars from fighting that eagle, just not the big one xD). If that's a problem, I can switch out the part where she lies about it.
    Honestly now that I've written her history she seems much more like a very scared and weak cat that's putting up a strong facade to hide all her feelings, to the point where even she believes that she's stronger than the rest. I figured another reason why Sedge didn't like Cinder is because of her and Sun's relationship and how much it reminds her of her and her own sister, also just the fact that Sun still has a sister and she's jealous oof. Sedge just avoids being around her and talking about her as much as humanely possible.
    With the distaste for rules thing, it's more like "why can't we do this?" instead of her actually going out and breaking rules. Yeah, she doesn't really care if she crosses the border when hunting but she doesn't wake up in the morning and say "I'm going to go cross MarshClan border today and cause some trouble." She does things a normal FogClan warrior wouldn't, like eat prey before going out and catching some, but not to the point of it being super noticeable. She only does it if the prey piles is full xD her logic is that it doesn't hurt anybody so why have to abide by these "senseless" rules. More bending than breaking, and again she isn't outspoken with it because she again knows that everyone else in FogClan loves the rules pff
