So, I’m a total ace attorney nerd. I’ve played all the main series games, and I just absolutely adore the characters. They’re so well made it’s insane. From one off characters like Matt Engarde (aka Rowanriver) and Damon Gant, to main characters like Apollo Justice and Phoenix Wright, they’re all memorable in their own way. They’re all so good, but Capcom isn’t exactly the best at making sure old characters come back (rip Gumshoe).
So, what do I do to rectify the fact that they suck at keeping characters? Decide to make them all in cat form of course! This is mostly for fun, and literally any cat from the Ace Attorney universe can be made (with the exception of Matt Engarde and Dahlia Hawthorne as they have already been made as Rowanriver and Maplemist). I’ll give a brief description of all the big ones here.
It’s still a wip, but you can adopt a character to join in on the fun even if they aren’t listed!
Apollo Justice (Proposed names- Sunspark, Sunswirl, and Sunstripe- Sun- is a required prefix)
Arguably one of my favorite characters of any game, Apollo Justice would be the character I want to be adopted the most- not only because he’s one of my favorite characters, but he and Klavier Gavin is my OTP of the series and I really would like to have them interact (I will be playing the Klavier Gavin cat- Sandysong). He’s a very high strung person, always anxious about something. He’s also very determined, to the point where he’s worked a trial the day after someone incredibly close to him died. Out of all the Ace Attorney defense lawyers, he is probably the most serious, though he has a catchphrase in the game that betrays the fact that he is a human. He yells “I’M APOLLO JUSTICE AND I’M FINE!” A lot. He’ll also tell other people to do it if they’re down. He’s a genuinely good person who seeks the truth no matter what- even if it will hurt him along the way.
Cat Apollo would share a lot of his personality with Human Apollo. They’d both be short tempered and hot headed, along with being really anxious, stubborn, and easy to rile up. Like his human counterpart, he’d be incrediblydetermined- to the point where he’d walk out of the medicine den mere hours after being severely injured. He’d also be very perceptive
In the games, his rival is Klavier Gavin- a prosecutor who is also a rockstar. And the games don’t hold back about how goddamn gay they are. From Klavier literally asking him on a date in the middle of a trial (which he accepts), to Klavier making a comment about never feeling this way with any females. The boys are gay and you can fight me. This dynamic would be very similar here. Sandysong would do every romantic gesture under the sun. This would preferably rile up Sun-
Small, easily embarrassed and flustered, Sun- would be a fun character to play and he’d be loved so much by Sandysong and Slate/Stone-
Clay Terran (Proposed names- Stonespring, Slatespring, Stonesky, or Slatesky- Stone/Slate must be prefixes)
Clay Terran. The character who didn’t deserve to be treated in canon the way he was. He is only seen in canon when he’s dead. DEAD. So I want to fix that by adding him here. In canon, he’s Apollo Justice’s best friend and an astronaut in training. He also lost his mother at a young age. And that’s his entire background. In fact, all we’re given for a personality is that he- like Apollo- yells “I’M CLAY TERRAN AND I’M FINE!” When he’s stressed. That and he’s a very nice guy who likes to joke around. He’s one of my favorite AA characters... which is odd considering you never meet him.
Since he doesn’t have a set personality, Cat Clay should be a sort of foil to Cat Apollo. He’d be even tempered and easy going, to the point where he can quite easily roll with the punches. That being said, he is also quite stubborn, and it’s not exactly uncommon to see him and Sun- yelling at each other. He is quite extroverted and creative, and he is a huge comedian. Because of this he rarely takes life seriously and can be considered quite annoying. It’s hard not to love him though, as he’s incredibly lovable.
While you never see them interact, Clay strikes me as a total wingman who’d do his best to hook Sun- and Sandysong up (and possibly join in cause ClayXApolloXKalvier is a great ship). He’d bug Sun- about everything, and he’d just be a huge, fun, goofball in general. A large goofball who makes fun of Sun-‘s height all the time.
