Overall appearance: Basking Skink has short, dense, and soft fur that is a sandy colour on top and paler underneath. Her ears are reddish brown with black tips and reddish streaks run along her cheeks from her eyes, which are a light green. The lightness of her eyes makes them appear a watery blue when reflecting the large sky above. Basking Skink's tabby markings run faintly down her flank and two black bands that wrap around the top of her front legs. Her tail has three distinguished black bands near the end of the tail, where the tip is black as well.
