1. Kits are not to be reserved in private messaging or in the chatbox. This keeps an even playing field for everyone.
2. When you adopt a kit from a litter, you cannot adopt another litter-born kitten until after one litter has been posted (for example, you take a kit from Litter A. You may not adopt a kit from Litter B. You may adopt a kit from Litter C). This stops members who have many characters from scoffing all of the kits up, and it allows newer members a better chance at grabbing kits. If you play one of the parents, then you are allowed to take a kit from the litter even if you took a kit from the last litter--litters in which you play a parent are exempt from this rule (as an example, if you play a parent in Litter A and you adopt a kit from it, you can also adopt a kit from Litter B).
3. Both parents must post on the litter request thread either claiming a kit or stating that they do not want one. After the parents post, please offer the kit roller a kit as a courtesy before posting the adoption thread.
4. You may not name the kits for the adopters. You may give a list of name suggestions and you may ask that roleplayers follow a theme (flowers, trees, animals, etc.), but ultimately the name of the kit is up to the adopter. Name themes are suggestions and cannot be enforced--if someone wants to name their kit Firekit despite the "theme" being water, they are free to do so as it is their character.
5. You may not define or give suggestions for the kits' personalities in any way.
6. Adopters, you may not modify the kits' appearance in any way, be it adding or removing any traits (long whiskers, large ears, etc.). There is no point in litter rolls if they're not going to be followed.
7. If an adopter becomes inactive or their account is deleted, you may not re-adopt their kit out unless the adopter explicitly states that their kit is up for adoption. Kits who are not re-adopted out are considered "missing" so that if the adopter ever returns, they can pick up where they left off with them.
8. Each member may only have two defective cats adopted from a litter at any given time. For example, if you adopted a kit from a litter who is blind, you may adopt one more blind/deaf/etc. kit. Polydactyl and heterochromatic kits are not considered defective.
If you have a character who is injured through roleplay (or was injured in their application history), then they do not count as your one defective character, and you may still adopt a blind/deaf/whatever kitten from a litter.
10. Males may only sire one litter at a time. (Exception only for poly-relationships.) A father must wait until his current litter is born to sire a new one.
11. If you decide to adopt a kit and then you return it, you will still have to wait until a litter pass to adopt again. (If you play one of the parents, then you are allowed to take a kit from the litter and return it without this rule applying.)
12. If a litter has been up for over a month than anyone is free to adopt from it. If you do this, you will not be able to adopt from the next litter that is put up for rolling.
13. Each member may request up to 3 litter roles per season.
14. Once a kit is adopted it is that person's character. The parents are permitted to ask members if the kit can be reapoted upon the adopter going inactive but ONLY once they've gone inactive. Members are not required to return litter-born kits upon going inactive.
15. Parents are allowed to decline up to TWO names from being used for their litter. These names MUST be listed with the original adoption thread and not added on.
16. The following options are available for multifather litters;
A) four threads in total; two with Tom 1 and two with Tom 2. More than likely will occur if the toms are unaware of one another.
B) three threads total; One thread with all three cats with a minimum of 3 posts per cat. One thread of molly with Tom 1. One thread of molly with Tom 2.
C) two threads total; two threads that involve all three cats with a minimum of 4 posts per cat.
D) two threads total; one thread of molly with Tom 1. One thread with Tom 2. Both threads must have a minimum of 5 posts per cat.
The item in the shop may replace one thread requirement.
More rules are subject to be added at any time. Members will be alerted if need be.
